Our Story...
We opened our first shop ‘Utopianation’ in 2005 with the help of our good friends Himalayan Crafts. Located in Barrack Street in the city by the Lee we started out selling mostly handicrafts from Nepal and India together with a small selection of indoor gardening equipment.
Throughout our 9 years as Utopianation we branched out into a Coffee Shop, Tattoo and Piercing Parlour, Pole Dancing Studio and we even ran a late night wine bar where we hosted many a hedonistic extravaganza. Many will recall the infamous ‘Big Bang Bash’ at the Half Moon Club when we put on a fashion and arts show and gave away a kilo of magic mushrooms! Happy days indeed.
Others will remember the Cult of Kink shows which were over the top in so many ways;) All good things come to an end as they say and in 2014 we were evicted from our shop and Utopianation was banished to the annals of infamy. We then dusted ourselves down and decided to focus on the Grow trade and in October 2014 set up Grow Nation in Carrigtwohill and have never looked back.
Grow Nation is located right off the N25 just outside Cork City and is well stocked with everything for the hobby grower. With plenty of free parking it is an ideal location. If there is something you need that is not on our website just give us a call and we will most likely be able to source it for you. We also welcome first time growers and are always happy to help.
